What's Going on in Our Community
The number of people living in poverty nationally has climbed from 39.8 to 43.6 million in the last four years. In the coming years, it will be increasingly important for today's high school students to manage their finances responsibly. Without a thorough fiscal education, we will see more people living in poverty. Low graduation rates only exacerbate this issue, leading to increased poverty as well as a increased chance (40%) to be unbanked or under-banked. As a result, we believe that it is the nation's obligation to educate America's youth in order to help them become savvy, responsible consumers and investors.
